By far the most popular session this morning is Live, Vast and Deep: Web-native Information Visualization. Tom Carden from Stamen Design and creator of amazing, data rich sites such as Oakland Crimespotting. Also mentioned during the talk were Every Block, a website for knowing everything about a city’s block. These guys are doing wonders with Flash, GPS, GIS and XML, pushing to the limit technologies like Invisible Ideas on which I worked several years ago. This morning I started with Nate True’s tutorial on “iPhone Software Development: Past, Present, Future“.
